The performance of double row tapered roller bearings (type TDI) is similar to that of two single row tapered roller bearings mounted face to face. Compared to the TDO type, TDI type bearings have less installation space but lower rigidity. Most of them are used as positioning end bearings carrying medium loads, such as positioning ends of rolling mills, reducers, etc.
